PDI merit winner Intermediate - comments please

Hi all
The following link leads to my image which won the 1st PDI merit intermediate section earlier this season yet it was not selected for the members exhibition last April.
I would be interested in polite replies as to why you think it was not selected for the exhibition

Only the selectors can possibly say why your image was not selected for the Members Exh. but can I offer some thoughts?
Merit competitions are usually judged by a person who decides the best images in a group of images.
Membership Exhibitions are selected by one or more persons to show a balanced group of images which are representative of the total membership and may be asked to select,say,200 from a submission of say 500.
Thus the 'rules' for competitions are different from those for exhibitions.

Thanks Ted, I guess I knew this already, photo images are rather subjective so what impresses one judge does nothing for another.
I suppose it just necessary to keep trying.
